Q: What is the cost for Shipping & Handling?

USPS Priority Mail $11.00 (1-3 business days shipping, after your order is processed, and most importantly, this option includes shipping insurance) USPS Priority Mail is upon request only. Highly recommend for Nashville Series and for larger orders for the expedited shipping time and the insurance protection that's included.

First Class Mail or Priority Shipping Options (after your purchase has been made):
Your order will automatically be shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS) Media Mail, unless otherwise requested. For larger purchases it is not required but recommend that you upgrade to USPS Priority Mail because this option automatically includes shipping insurance. To upgrade to USPS Ground Advantage Mail the additional cost is $3.00-$5.00 depending on the quantity of movies. To upgrade to Priority Mail the additional cost is $7.50. Either option will expedite your overall order shipping time. If you would like to upgrade to First Class Mail or Priority Mail please contact us to let us know and we will send you an invoice for the additional shipping costs.


Q: Will the DVD's play in my area?


A: Yes!
DVD’s offered are Region 1 (USA & Canada). Meaning, the DVD’s that you receive will play on your USA or Canadian DVD or Blu-Ray player, guaranteed.


Q: Is ordering from this website safe?


A: Yes!
PayPal does process all credit card, debit card and eCheck transactions, so whether you sign into your PayPal Account to make your purchase or pay as a guest PayPal keeps all your information safe. Using the PayPal Shopping Cart and Checkout is safer than making a direct payment online using a credit card, debit card or eCheck transaction because when you send a payment using PayPal, the recipient (in this case Rare Movie Classics) will not receive any sensitive financial information like your credit card or bank account number. This way, you don't have to worry about paying people you don't know because you are also protected as a buyer by PayPal. In addition, all data is encrypted for extra protection against fraud and identity theft. You DO NOT need a PayPal Account to Checkout with the PayPal Shopping Cart.

Q: How long does it take for an order to be shipped?


A: Our goal is to get items shipped out as quickly as possible. Orders will ship out on the same day of purchase in many cases but can take up to 1 to 5 business days from the date of purchase to actually ship out, depending on the current shipping cycle for the RMC website as well as other factors. You will be notified when your shipping label has been printed with your USPS Tracking Information. We service multiple online venues; we get all orders out as quickly as we can.
Nashville Seasons 5 & 6 Orders: Processing these orders can take longer than the normal timeframe because of being very popular and also being special order from an overseas distributor.

We highly recommend USPS Priority Mail for Nashville Series and for larger orders for the expedited shipping time and the insurance protection that's included, USPS Priority Mail is upon request only.

Please Note: As with all catalog, online and standalone retail venues, we do keep inventory in stock and the quantity is based on past overall sales within a 30 day timeframe. However, on some days, especially weekends and holidays, popular items can outsell our current inventory. Nevertheless, we restock inventory promptly, as needed to fulfill current demand.

Q: Will I receive a tracking number?


A: Yes!
You will be notified with USPS Tracking information when your shipping label has been printed. After an order has shipped please refer to the tracking information for progress. Tracking information will be provided at the time your shipping label is printed. Please allow adequate time for the Tracking Number to get into the USPS System and accurately update. 1-3 days, possibly longer on weekends and holidays. To check the status of your order, after you have received your tracking number and allowed adequate time for it to enter into the USPS Tracking System, please click check my tracking number status and enter your tracking number. Tracking only applies to U.S.A. buyers.


Q: Will I receive a confirmation email and receipt after my purchase?


A: Yes!
If you provide a valid email address at the time of purchase/payment you will receive a confirmation email. In addition, you will receive your receipt from PayPal on behalf of Rare Movie Classics. You do not have an account with PayPal, they process all credit card payments and an email address is required at the time of purchase.
Please Note: If you are not receiving incoming emails you may need to adjust your inbox and/or spam settings.


Q: Do I need to have a PayPal Account to order?


A: No, you DO NOT need to have a PayPal Account to order, simply check out and pay as a guest by using the 'Checkout, Pay without a PayPal account' Link. PayPal processes all credit card, debit card and eCheck transactions, so whether you sign into your PayPal Account to make your purchase or pay as a guest you will receive your receipt from PayPal via email.

***If you are experiencing difficulty making a payment using the PayPal Shopping Cart we will gladly submit an invoice to you via email for your movie selections of choice, which will make placing an order easier for some buyers using older browsers. PayPal process all credit/debit card transactions but you are not required to have a PayPal Account to make a payment. If you need us to email you an invoice please use the contact us form.
Please Note: If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser, or an older browser, you may need to temporarily allow 'pop-ups' for the PayPal Shopping Cart to function properly.


Q: Do you accept International orders? If so, what are shipping costs?


A: Yes! We now only ship to certain Provinces in Canada, and a few other countries, by special request only, using the International Purchase Request Form. Please use the form and we will send you an invoice from PayPal via email.

Please Note: You are not required to have a PayPal account ... you can check out as a guest, just like you would any other website. PayPal is simply a payment processor for all credit card, debit card and eCheck transactions and no PayPal Account or membership is required.

International Shipping Costs: Most international order shipping costs will range from $20.00 to $35.00, but can be upwards of $80.00, depending on your movie selections and location ($25.00 minimum for the Nashville DVD Sets and other Series Multi-DVD Sets offered).

DO NOT use the International Purchase Request Form if you do not intend to complete the purchase.


Q: Can I place an order over the phone?


A: We do not take telephone orders.

Please allow up to 24-48 hours minimum, especially on weekends and holidays.


Q: Why does Rare Movie Classics provide such rare movies?


A: Rare Movie Classics (RMC) is a specialty website in which we offer a small selection of handpicked, very rare, out of print (OOP) movies that are virtually impossible to find. We enjoy sharing movie memories that are special to us. The 1973 movie Sunshine and 1977 sequel Sunshine specifically have an exceptional place in our hearts. We service many online venues but this small website is of particularly interest to us for that reason.
We only offer about 12-30 very rare, hard to find movie selections at a time but inventory does change from time to time so please check back often.


Q: What is the quality of the Movies you offer on DVD?


A: Please Note: All DVD movies, Series Sets and Mini-Series Sets sold on the Rare Movie Classics Website are Region 1, NTSC Format. Meaning, they will play in the USA on USA DVD Players.
We search hard to find the best video & audio presentation possible for the movies offered. All movies listed on the current selections are in English (Audio) and most do not have subtitle options unless specifically stated on that movie description page. We can absolutely assure you that the movies offered on this website are the best quality you can find for any of the current selections being offered.
The DVD’s are shipped in a clear plastic DVD case, or cases, as well as a bubble wrap envelope, or box with bubble wrap padding, for protection.
Video & Audio ratings are provided at the bottom of each movie description page and are an average based on customer feedback for that specific movie. At Rare Movie Classics we provide an opportunity for fans of these virtually impossible to find movie's a chance to re-experience a movie or movie's that have had special meaning. Also, to perhaps share the experience with someone special in your life as well.
It is a goal to provide an affordable, joyful and memorable experience for all. We suggest that you always view the older movies with a positive attitude. Taking into consideration that at the time these movies were made none of what we know today existed. There was no such thing as digital or high definition, etc. Keeping that in mind, and taking into account the age of the movies, they are indeed very enjoyable to experience again, or for the first time.
Most of the DVD's we are able to provide do not come with cover art, unless specifically stated on that movie description page. Illustrations or photos shown are for identification purposes only in most cases, unless specifically stated on that movie description page. All items are provided to us by reputable sources with good ratings. Although some of the movies offered on the Rare Movie Classics website may have not been released in the U.S.A. they have been overseas and some are now considered as a public domain status.
The Nashville Series DVD Sets, Seasons 5 & 6 have not yet been released in the USA market but have been released overseas. We are happy to have found a reputable and reliable overseas distributer that does offer these sets in the Region 1 NTSC video standard (USA & Canada), meaning they will play on American DVD Players.
The Nashville Series DVD Sets are brand new and on eleven (season 5) and eight (season 6) printed label DVD-R Discs that are Region 1 NTSC (USA) Format and come in protective sleeves with no cases or cover art and will play on USA DVD Players. These sets will be shipped in boxes and wrapped in bubble wrap for protection in route to you.
These particular DVD Sets are special order and do take a bit longer than our norm to process and ship out because they do come from an overseas distributor, see shipping policies.

Please Note, Nashville Update: We will be ending the option of the 6 disc (season 5) and 4 disc (season 6) DVD+R-DL format (Double Layer, also called DVD+R9 or DVD9) as of December 30th, 2022. Although hundreds of the DVD+R-DL format sets have been provided without issue, there have been enough buyers that have DVD players that are too old and not compatible with the DVD+R-DL Format that it has become too troublesome for us to continue providing the fewer discs option.


Q: What if my order arrives but it is damaged or defective?


A: If a DVD does not play properly upon arrival, meaning the movie will not play, you get an error message or it plays but skips or freezes then please try viewing the movie in another viewing source because older DVD players can be problematic. Be sure the back of the DVD is clean, shiny and free from dust, fingerprints or any kind of dirt or smudge. If the problem persists you may have received a defective DVD. Defects are very rare but unfortunately they do happen. If you believe that you've received a defective DVD please use one of the Defect Options below.

This Is What To Look For And What We Require For Proof Of A Defect.

Defect Option 1:

A. Are there any scratches, small cracks, chips on the edge of the disc or discolorations (such as dark rings) on the back of the DVD? If so, please take a picture of the front and back of the DVD so that we can clearly see that it is a DVD that we have provided and then email those pictures back to us. If we can verify that there is an obvious defect in the form of damage to the disc the return of the DVD is not required for us to ship out a replacement.
B. Alternatively, for a defect not related to damage: Please take a short video using your cell phone clearly showing a DVD that we have provided being loaded and then what it happens when the movie acts up (skips, freezes, doesn't play or you get an error message) -- and then email that short video to us. That will be proof that a defect has occurred on a DVD that was provided by Rare Movie Classics. If you can provide this proof the return of the DVD is not required for us to ship out a replacement.
***If you are unable to provide either of these options to prove a defect via email on video or on pictures for a DVD that we sent you then please use Defect Option 2.

Defect Option 2:
Return the defective DVD to the address below and we will inspect it and then get a replacement DVD right out to you. We will refund your cost to return the defective DVD to us if the DVD is indeed found to be defective. DO NOT ship using First Class or Priority Mail. We will only reimburse for standard Media Mail shipping and the shipping label that you use to return the defective DVD must clearly show the cost you paid for shipping.

Please Note: If you're DVD was damaged in route (scratched, chipped or cracked) and you did not choose one of the insured shipping options (Priority Mail or UPS Ground) at checkout we will replace the DVD at no cost to you but you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the replacement DVD. If the DVD is in good condition but is not playing correctly (such as skips, freezes or doesn't play) we will replace the DVD at no cost to you and we will cover the cost of shipping the replacement DVD but you will need to provide proof, either as described above or by returning the DVD.


Q: What is your policy on returns and refunds?


A: We do not offer refunds on special order items, which currently include the Nashville Series DVD Sets, the Sun Records DVD Set and the Elvis The Mini-Series DVD Set.
No returns are accepted or refunds offered after an order has processed, all sales are final. However, it is our goal to provide an enjoyable experience for all. If an item purchased from Rare Movie Classics should arrive damaged in route or is in any way defective upon arrival please return it for a replacement. In addition, we will refund your return postage cost if the DVD or DVD's are indeed found to be defective or damaged. Please be sure to include a receipt if the cost of postage is not shown on the return envelope/package but DO NOT ship using First Class Mail or Priority Mail. We will only reimburse for standard Media Mail shipping.
We do not provide a refund option after the shipping label for an order has been printed, which indicates the order has been processed and is in route. Today there are too many programs that will allow people to copy the content from the most state of the art, highly protected DVD movies. It is precisely this reason that we can only offer a replacement in the event of a defect or damaged DVD.


Q: What if my order gets lost in the mail?


A: It is very rare that an order gets delivered to the wrong address, or lost in the mail. Priority Shipping or UPS Ground does include shipping insurance that covers lost items. For all other shipping methods chosen at the time of checkout Rare Movie Classics takes no direct responsibility for orders after being shipped. If the order tracking information shows that an order has been delivered but you did not receive it then please contact your local postal service, as we have no control over an item after it has been shipped. After you have checked with your local postal service, checked with neighbors that may have received the item by mistake and waited a reasonable amount of time (that time based on your conversation with your local postal service). If you still have no satisfactory answers you will need go through the steps shown here by the USPS for for a Missing Mail Claim. After you've completed the following coursesof action, then please contact us... and we will do everything we can to help make your experience a good one.
